Location – No Limits! Your ceremony can be held at a location of your choice. I am legally authorised to marry couples anywhere in Australia. Please note if you require me to travel further than 100km an extra cost will be incurred. This will be discussed and become part of our service agreement. The rate is calculated according to the ATO guidelines which is currently set at 88 cents per kilometre for FY 24/25.

Terms and conditions – You will be provided with terms and conditions. These documents will contain information like deposit required, cancellation policy ect.

Service agreement – The service agreement is a signed document between you and me outlining the service I will provide. It also covers your privacy rights and asks for your consent to display a photo of your ceremony on my website or Facebook page.

Price – The price of a ceremony depends on the type, duration, and travel distance. Check the ceremony style for the current rates. The cost covers all legal documentation, lodging documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages, up to three face-to-face meetings, writing the ceremony, a rehearsal, officiating the marriage on your wedding day, travel, and unlimited calls and emails leading up to the day. You’ll also receive a decorative certificate on your wedding day, with optional vow cards available if needed.

How soon can I get married – Legally you must provide me with at least one month notice. You can apply for a shortening of time under specific circumstances. I can provide you with this information.

I can’t find my birth certificate or original documents – You can contact the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages if you were born in Australia in the state you were born. Divorce certificates can be obtained from the Family Law courts. If you were born overseas please contact the relevant department to obtain documents or seek advice from your local Embassy.

Can children, pets or other family members be part of the ceremony – Children, pets, and other family members can absolutely be part of your ceremony! Your children can have a special role in your wedding, or a family member might want to perform a reading during the ceremony. Pets make adorable ring bearers and add a fun touch to the day. The ceremony is customized just for you.

Can we Elope – Yes, you can. This is called a ‘Legals Only’ ceremony. To elope, all you need are two witnesses over 18 and to complete the legal requirements with me. You can also say your own vows along with the legal components of the ceremony.

Marriage Certificates

On your wedding day, you will sign three marriage certificates. One is a decorative certificate that you get to keep. The second is an official-looking certificate that the celebrant keeps for seven years as a legal requirement. The third is another official-looking certificate that the celebrant sends to Births, Deaths, and Marriages (BDM) to register your marriage.

Once BDM receives the Official Certificate, I will apply on your behalf to obtain your Registered Marriage Certificate. This certificate serves as proof of your marriage and is used for purposes like changing your name.

When should I book – The best approach is to book as soon as you’ve settled on a date, time, and venue.

What if I want a religious ceremony – I’m more than happy to incorporate any religious vows, readings, poems, songs, or rituals you’d like. This is your special day, and the ceremony will be personalized just for you.
